The Birth of a New Day
I find you,
Wrapped around me
Connected below the waist.
Clench my back
And dig towards my heart
To find out
Who I am
Would you be afraid to follow me?
If you found out
Who I was?
I am Ojibway
A man of the Earth
My feet planted in the city
You breathe is hard upon my ear
Unexpressed whispers hidden
Between bites on my neck
I’m close to you
Closer then you want
Who would I find?
If I slowly went a little deeper
And unfolded you
Towards the birth of a new day
